LED Control System for an Animated Advertising Installation for Adidas
For this project, we delivered the complete LED control system used in a three-dimensional advertising installation featuring a shoe. Our scope covered the design and configuration of the control electronics and animation software. The physical installation and arrangement of the LED strips were carried out by a separate contractor.
Scope of Work
Our responsibilities included:

LED controller design and configuration,

development of the lighting animation,

dynamic parameter optimization (brightness, speed, smoothness),

ensuring stable power and system operation.
Since the LED strip was installed along the perimeter of the shoe, the system was strictly linear (1D). No 2D pixel mapping or surface geometry reconstruction was required. The animation was implemented as a moving light effect traveling along the contour of the product.
Animation Characteristics
The implemented effect consists of a smoothly moving light segment that:

emphasizes the shoe outline,

creates a sense of motion and energy,

reinforces a modern, technology-driven aesthetic,

complements the promotional visual concept.
Pixel-level control allowed us to achieve:

precisely controlled movement speed,

smooth intensity transitions,

a continuous light line without visible stepping.
The linear architecture enabled efficient algorithm optimization without complex spatial coordinate processing.
Technical Architecture
The system was based on digitally addressable LED strips and a dedicated controller providing individual segment control. The architecture was designed to ensure:

stability under dynamic brightness changes,

consistent performance in exhibition conditions.
Final Result
The final installation delivers a dynamic illuminated contour that captures attention through motion rather than static illumination. The moving light along the perimeter enhances visual tension and strengthens the perception of the product as modern and performance-oriented.
This project demonstrates that even with a linear (1D) LED configuration, a highly professional and impactful advertising effect can be achieved through precise electronic control and carefully engineered animation design.
